Apple has recently launched a web app for its Podcasts app, which can be accessed immediately at podcasts.apple.com. According to MacRumors, this app functions smoothly on popular browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
If you have prior experience with the Podcasts app on Mac or iOS, the web version will seem quite familiar. It features sections like the Browse tab, where you can discover featured podcasts; the Home tab, allowing you to check episodes from the shows you follow or those that Apple believes might pique your interest; the Top Charts tab, and many more.
Upon my initial visit to the site, I signed into my Apple account, and all the shows I follow on the Podcasts app on my iPhone were readily available. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a means to accelerate playback on the web app, which is quite a disappointment for someone like me who prefers faster speeds. Nevertheless, it’s still appreciated that the web app is now an available option.
The introduction of the new Podcasts web app comes after the launch of an Apple Maps web app last month. Additionally, Apple also provides web apps for Apple Music and Apple TV.
