We only have a limited amount of time on this precious planet, so don’t waste any more time in catching up on the incredible games of the past seven years. Nintendo might be taking its time in launching its next console, but you have the power to take control and immerse yourself in a world of amazing games while you wait. Playing through or gifting these games will surely bring you joy and make the waiting period more worthwhile.

If you answer “yes” to this question, there’s a part of you that likely understands the desire for the latest and greatest technology. It would be disappointing to buy a Switch now only to have Nintendo debut the new model in the coming months. However, it’s important to note that the regular Switch is still a great way to experience games. With a few exceptions, most Nintendo-published games run smoothly on the console, so don’t let the fear of missing out hold you back. Additionally, Nintendo often releases tentpole games for its newer consoles on the previous console, and this trend may continue with the next generation of hardware. So, if you just want to enjoy the games, try not to let FOMO get the better of you.

The OLED itself has the same 720p resolution as the LCD screen in both the $299.99 Switch and $199.99 Switch Lite, but everything looks better, from contrast to brightness and picture quality.
