At this week’s Meta Connect event, Meta unveiled a new entry-level headset, the Meta Quest 3S. It starts at a reasonable price of $299.99 for the 128 GB model, and there’s also a 256 GB version available at an additional cost of $100. Additionally, the company has adjusted the pricing of its premium Meta Quest 3 headset. The 512 GB version now costs $499.99, which is $150 less than its previous price of $649.99. If you don’t want to wait for the launch of the Quest 3S on October 15th, you can still take advantage of this lineup refresh by purchasing the top-tier model today at a discounted price of $150 lower than its former cost.
This also means that the 128 GB version of the Meta Quest 3 is being phased out. Amazon has already stopped selling this version, while GameStop is offering it at $429.99, or even as low as $404.99 if you have GameStop Pro. Despite the lower price, we would hesitate to recommend that anyone choose the 128 GB model. The upcoming 128 GB Quest 3S is expected to be more than $100 cheaper and, from all accounts, appears to be fairly comparable in terms of features. Nevertheless, if storage is not a major concern and you’re looking to have it next week, $400 is around the lowest price we’ve seen for the Quest 3 historically.
