When will Stardew Valley 1.6 console update launch?

“Stardew Valley” has long been a beloved game, and its highly anticipated 1.6 update is now out for players on Windows PC via Steam, Microsoft’s PC Game Pass, and GOG. But the question on everyone’s mind is, when will players on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile get to experience this exciting new content?

Developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone started teasing details about the 1.6 update back in 2023, and fans of the game have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. After a long hiatus without an update, the 1.5 patch was released in 2020. Now, PC players can jump right into the 1.6 update and enjoy all the new features and content.

Console and mobile players, however, will have to wait a bit longer. But the wait is not indefinite anymore, as it has been officially announced that players on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X will be able to play the 1.6 update in November. This gives them something to look forward to and adds to the excitement surrounding the game.

For those who own “Stardew Valley” on macOS, Linux, or Windows PC, the update is already available as it arrived on those platforms in March. All they need to do is head to their respective platforms (Steam, GOG, or Microsoft’s PC Game Pass) and update the game. Since then, Barone has continued to release additional updates to fix bugs and enhance the gaming experience.

If you don’t already own the game, it’s currently priced at $14.99 on GOG and $14.99 on Steam, and for PC Game Pass subscribers, it’s available at no extra cost. This makes it a great opportunity to jump into the world of “Stardew Valley” and experience the 1.6 update.

Barone shared in response to a player that he typically releases on PC first as it serves as a “beta test” to ensure there are no critical bugs that could be more problematic on consoles, where patching can be a slower process. However, he expressed that the delay had been longer than he intended.

When the 1.6 update finally arrives for console and mobile players on November 4, it will come fully patched up to version 1.6.9, bringing with it a wealth of new content. There are mentions of a Meadowlands Farm type, new secrets and Easter eggs to discover, more options for multiplayer, and an impressive number of 25 new hats, 280 new pieces of furniture, and even moss soup. And the best part? You can now put hats on your cats and dogs, adding a fun and unique touch to the gameplay.

With the 1.6 update on its way, the future of “Stardew Valley” looks even more exciting, and players are eagerly counting down the days until they can immerse themselves in this updated world.”

In an update on March 22, it was announced that “Stardew Valley”‘s 1.6 update is now available on PC Game Pass. This added to the excitement for players who have access to this platform.

And in a subsequent update on September 23, the release date for the 1.6 update on console and mobile was adjusted and reflected in the story. This ensured that readers had the most accurate and up-to-date information.

As fans eagerly await the November release date, the anticipation for all the new content and features in the 1.6 update continues to build. Whether it’s exploring the new farm type, uncovering hidden secrets, or simply enjoying the new items and gameplay enhancements, there is a lot to look forward to in this latest iteration of “Stardew Valley.”
