Capcom’s upcoming remaster of the slapstick survival horror game Dead Rising is undergoing significant changes. Not only are there updates to the game’s voice acting and a substantial boost to its visuals, but also tweaks to various elements that might not be in line with modern standards in 2024. One notable alteration is the removal of “Erotica” points that players could previously earn by taking photos of women’s body parts during a zombie outbreak.
In a video released on Thursday, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster producer Kei Morimoto and game director Ryosuke Murai took Dead Rising fans on a tour of some of the upcoming changes in the new version. These updates include new facial motion capture and fully voiced dialogue for Frank West and other characters, such as providing a voice for Otis, the mall janitor.
