Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers are in for a delightful treat this Friday as an absolute gem of a game, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, is added to the catalog. First released in the United States for the Game Boy Advance back in 2006, this game was one of two titles that initiated a new spinoff series where you get to embody the Pokémon themselves. It had numerous charming aspects, but for me, it holds a special place in my memory because it presented us with an official Pokémon personality quiz.

Generally, the majority of Pokémon games released before the Mystery Dungeon ones mainly focused on collecting and engaging in battles with monsters. I never gave much thought to which Pokémon I would be if I had the chance. Red Rescue Team altered that situation. In this game, you play as a human who has mysteriously transformed into a Pokémon. Instead of having the option to choose which creature you’ll play as, the game challenges you to complete a brief personality quiz to determine which of its beloved creatures aligns best with your preferences in real life.
