Long lines are undeniably the absolute worst aspect of any theme park experience. Consequently, it comes as no surprise that theme parks have devised ways to rake in a significant amount of cash from park-goers who simply desire to bypass the queues, as it can be quite a tedious affair. However, now, Roblox players are actively embracing the experience of waiting in line at theme parks. In a new trend that has taken hold on TikTok, users are sharing clips depicting their time spent playing Universal Roblox Theme Park, which essentially amounts to standing in virtual lines within the game.

Roblox is a platform that enables its users to engage in various activities such as playing, sharing, and creating games. It is filled with an abundance of promotional games for numerous brands, including Universal Roblox Theme Park. Within the game, players can explore a virtual recreation of Universal Parks. While it may not be the most detailed replication, certain park areas have been given alternative names, like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter being referred to as the “Wizarding Village,” perhaps due to licensing considerations. Nonetheless, it does manage to recreate certain elements of the park experience. Notably, players can go on some of the biggest rides, check out the waiting time, stand in line, and then “ride” a first-person Roblox remake of the attraction.

Rather than showcasing gameplay of the coasters, players are sharing videos focused on standing in the virtual lines.

TikTok user Mandee shared a video showcasing a line for the virtual Spider-Man ride based on The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride. In the clip, one can see a multitude of avatars in a long line that winds around metal guardrails. Text superimposed on the clip states, “how many aura points do i lose for waiting 20 min to go on the new spiderman ride at universal roblox.”

Mandee also shared clips of waiting in line to go on the Jurassic Kingdom River Adventure ride.

Another user shared a similar video that takes viewers on a journey to The Mummy ride. Or, rather, the line. In it, one can see the avatars lined up and the text layered over the video says, “i am really 18 years old waiting in line to ride the roblox universal mummy ride.”

The most amusing aspect of all this is that waiting in line is entirely a choice. Once one queues up, the game presents a button that allows players to skip the wait and directly proceed to the attraction. It’s a virtual world, so everyone can ride it simultaneously if they so desire. But then, that would spoil the immersion of the experience, as everyone knows that waiting in line is an inevitable part of any theme park.
